a guide to the perfect ()alentine’s day
We are a week away from either the most love-filled day of the year, or for some, the most miserable. Whether you’re single, in a committed relationship, or that lovely gray area where you’re not quite sure if you should celebrate with your situationship, Valentine’s Day is a day that we should all celebrate because love is more than just romance.
*Editor’s note: As a self proclaimed hopeless romantic and single gal, I can’t lie, I will wince a little when I see all y’all’s loved up instagram posts.
STEP ONE: THE GIFT
Before we get to the big day, you need to buy a gift. Valentine’s Day gifts don’t have to be overly romantic. Unfortunately, for the readers who are looking for their male significant others, this list might not be super helpful for you. And, I’m not sure I have too many male readers, so… this is a list of things I would personally want! This doesn’t mean you can’t pull inspiration from my picks because, I won’t lie, there are some pretty great items listed below.
a. CARD GAME b. WINE SUBSCRIPTION c. CANDLE d. HEART GLASSES e. MILK FROTHER f. MATCHA
g. PERFUME h. STUFFED ANIMAL i. NECKLACE j. EYE MASKS k. HAIR PINS l. BOUQUET
STEP TWO: THE FIT
Now that you’ve settled on a gift, here comes the most important part: the fit. Again, to all my male readers, this might not be helpful to you, but still stick around. While, yes, it is not required to wear red or pink on Valentine’s Day, I am a sucker for being on theme. You can wear a neutral outfit with a pop of red or pink or go all out in head to hearts and frills. If that’s not your vibe at all, opt for a more casual fit, and elevate it with a cool pant or accessories.
a. TANK TOP b. LEATHER PANTS c. PLATFORM HEEL d. MINI DRESS e. HEART TIGHTS f. RED PUMP g. MAXI DRESS h. LACE BOW
i. VELVET HEEL j. LACE TOP k. MINI SKIRT l. BOW PUMP
STEP THREE: THE TREATS
How are you spending Valentine’s Day this year?
With luv,
KK
