a super last minute Christmas gift guide

Christmas is just three short days aways, depending on when you’re reading this. If you happen to find this post after Christmas, then this is a “super early Christmas gift guide.” The holiday season really snuck up on me this year. I was so caught up in the anticipation of coming home that I completely forgot the reason for my visit: it’s Christmas, and my family is probably expecting gifts. This is a comprehensive list of gifts you can find at your local drug store, mall, Target, or Sephora.

Ribbon

The bow craze has been all over my TL. People are putting bows on everything: sweaters, purses, hell, even food. If you are feeling left out of this timeless trend, there’s a simple fix. Just buy a roll of ribbon from JOANN or her brother Michaels.

Sonny Angels

This is one that might be a little harder to find at your local CVS, but nonetheless, still a great gift. The 2 year old cherub was designed by toy manufacturer Toru Soeya “to be a tiny companion for working women in their mid-20s dealing with the stresses of adulthood.” And as a woman in her 20s stressed with adulthood I would love to be gifted one.  You can find a Sonny Angel at H Mart or some local Japanese stationary stores.

Disposable Camera

Every few years an older camera makes a comeback. When I was in middle school it was Polaroids. In high school and college it was all about film cameras. While, digital cameras have become an It girl staple all over social media, it’s tricky to find the right one in such little time. Instead, opt for the cheaper, more localized disposable camera.

An Assortment of Chapstick

What is the one thing that should be in your purse at all times? Chapstick. During the dry winter season I find myself reapplying my lip stuff constantly, so it’s nice to always have some on deck. Side note: my little brother specifically asked for this to be his gift this year.

Laneige Lip Mask

Speaking of moisturized lips, the Laneige lip mask is on holiday gift guides every year. This nourishing overnight lip mask helps reduce that petty flakiness everyone gets when the temperature drops below 50. It produces instant results, which makes this product a winter must have. There’s also a sampler that is perfect for gift giving.

Gift Card (but useful ones)

As much as I love those Visa gift cards, no one ever wants to take them. Trust, as someone who works in retail, I scream a little inside when someone pulls one out to pay. If you want to give someone a gift card this Christmas, get one from their favorite clothing store, or even better, their favorite grocery store.

Shop Anthropologie’s Gift Section.

Anthro makes last minute gift shopping a breeze. There are a plethora of aesthetically pleasing puzzles that would be the perfect family gift. If you have a coffee or tea lover in the family, gift them a unique mugs. Need a gift for kids? They have that too! The supply is endless (but time is limited).

Candle Set

Who doesn’t love a candle?? They’re perfect as housewarming gifts or stocking stuffers. If you don’t know which scent to buy, especially for someone who is particular about smells, settle for a set so the recipient has options.

Plant Subscription

This was a gift I received from my older sister a couple years ago that felt practical, yet thoughtful. These subscriptions will include everything you need to give your plant a long lasting life. I kept mine alive for almost a year until my grandma killed them when I went abroad (:

A Homemade Gift

If it’s from the heart, they’ll be sure to love it.

Happy Holidays,

KK
